well the photomanip, members as well as the comic art galleries have the following restrictions
Max pixel size 2000 x 2000
Max file size(byte) 850000

as for what you like, it it up to you, some like giant size pictures, other people like the image to fit on their screen. But like Leeta always says it isn't the size of the pixels, it's how you arrange them that counts.
