hey kids,  what it is. I was checking out COMICS2FILM and it mentioned possible 3rd BATMAN film. it also mentioned that Angelina Jolie was approached to possibly play the Feline Felon. in fact, ex- Catwoman Julie Newmar herself said that Angie would "own the role". I do hope so and if so, I will definitely be looking forward to seeing it. any thoughts?

ok, I'll bite.
So far that I've noticed the Batman movies seem to be working because they are NOT using huge named actors. It's a theory I've heard over why Christopher Reeves did so well as Superman. I think Angelina's too well known an actress to be playing in a Batman movie, period
I mean look at the old Batman movies. Seriously, it stopped being about the story of Batman and started being "What big named star can we get to be in the next movie?" and "How much more of a circus can this get?"
If they stick to what they're doing they won't screw it up.

im with Thayne, each character is too big, they are about 60 years old, there have been hundreds of interpretations in the comics, and theres a reason why they're still popular around the world.
The thing about famous actors is that they always play themselves, and many times the character we see on a film, has been built or adapted, so it resembles the "famous actor" that plays it.
the actors that have appeared in this Batman's movies are real talented, but kind of a more low profile (most of them)
No doubt Angelina is hot, but they could pick another hot girl, that tries to become Catwoman, instead of adapting Catwoman to Angelina

There is no way Catwoman would work in Nolan's Bat-universe. She's far too shallow of a character.

The story I saw inferred that Angelina Jolie would be Catwoman in a 'Catwoman' movie, a-la Halle Berry. There is also a rumour they want Johnny Depp to play Riddler in a Batman movie. But the reality is nothing is going to be decided for years... any story that will increase or feed off the hype for Dark Knight is being published right now. One thing that is fact is Sam Niell playing Mr Jones in the movie version of Under the Mountain. This tv show freaked me out when I was a kid, I can't wait to see it on the bigscreen with modern effects.

I think if they handled it correctly she could fit in. The year one reboot with the later Falcone storyline could definitely make an interesting secondary story.

1st off, I have to agree with our resident "Federal Pervert Protection Program" member; Angelina Jolie would be heart-stopping in a latex 'Catwoman' suit. 2nd...why does this feel like the start of another "Who do you think should play Wonder Woman?" thread? Or am I just feeling a leetle bit paranoid? Finally, I wish all contenders in this years' 'Smackdown' the very best. hey Wolf, no worries. if someone else wants to do a "Who Should Play Catwoman" thread, they're welcome to it. although Halle wasn't bad. true the movie stunk, but it was a good stunk which is why the DVD is in my cellar.

I do have to agree that AJ has the body to be wrapped in Latex, but her butter face would have to be covered as well. I think that a no name or B list actress would do the role far better like Thayne and Chilly said they have that second string actors actresses thing working on this and they shouldn't get away from that. These are by far the best Batman movies ever!

Yeah...I bought a copy, too. The outfit was OK...but, the storyline could have been a whole lot better. Louise Glover as CW...anybody think about Her?

Excuse me but, hotness aside, when the heck did Angelina Jolie become a bigger name than Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and so on?  Bigger in the tabloids? Sure. A bigger name when it comes to 'sexiest people alive' lists? That too. But in movies? Not in my book. If done right, I think Catwoman can work even in this round of Batman movies. I'd be more worried about the Riddler or Penguin rumours. (and that has nothing to do with my desire to see AJ in tight latex, honestly.)

most sources have said that the next batman's plot would follow a Long Halloween arch....which Catwoman played a big role in. Guess i'd need to see some convincing photo manips to be the judge.

How is that going to work? Two-face died in the movie, and Heath, who played the Joker, died in real life. I very much doubt they'll give his part to someone else. Without two-face and the joker, you can't really do that story, can you?
