I have been thinking about this for a while.
Here is my Idea, that we have duels (artist duels of course).

An Artist can make a challenge against a fellow artist. The Artist that received the challenge then picks the "weapon" if he/she accepts.

"Weapons" used in the duels-
1-Same Base picture/pictures
2-Same character/characters
3-Specific Deadline
4-Specific Content
5-other criteria agreed upon by both artists and their judge.

The duelling pair must then ask an 3 impartial third parties to judge their duel. The judges will decide what artist????????s picture they prefer and then award the win.
For winning a duel you will receive one point. When you have reached 10 points you can have a custom avatar. Keep track of your points; I will check them when you try to claim a prize but not before then.
You cannot duel the same artist 2 times in a row. You may not duel the same artist more then 3 times in your journey to accumulate 10 points.
The custom Avatars you win duelling are yours to keep or to give away to who ever you see fit.

What I think is cool about this is that anyone can beat anyone else. You just have to choose the weapon that will put the odds in your favour - everyone has a weak spot.

Of course, that's dependant on the other person challenging you.

In the duel between me and BA, Ba challenged me, the Weapon is the Same Base picture and the judge is Good ol' Billy.
He is _so_ going down.

That's a hefty weapon and a half, but I think you'll have to wait for someone to challenge _you_ before you can pick that one!

I think you can trust any other contributing artist to be impartial. We're all pretty good like that.

Giving this more thought. Still a nice idea. But it needs work. Suggests on weapons of choice?

Also I think judging needs to expand. Though we may say we are impartial, we all have tastes and a challenge pic that fits our taste better than the other, even if it is of lesser quality, might get the vote. Also there's the name thing, some people have a name that's gonna tug on the judge's brainpan more so than others.

I think at a minimum we need 3 judges and at most 5 (2 and 4 being out cuz of the possibility of a tie).

1- I will gladly lend my judging skills to Winterhawk and Black Alchemy's current duel. (Remember guys, it's not just who gets the pizza and beer to me first, but also the quality of said items...) I assume you are in for judging as well, Jr.?

2- Just to clarify, Billy is the Challenger (although that one can be debated in court, as VagabondEye threw down the gauntlet first, but I believe honor has been satisified in that regard.) Therefore, Vag must choose the weapons. Unless I am mistaken, you have chosen 1-Same Base picture/pictures:"My weapon of choice: same MODEL (I'll suggest Francine Dee, cause she's easy to get and I'm quite "experienced" with her), any shot you can get, ORIGINAL costume WITH 1 PAGE (500 word max) "NARRATIVE". Since you have chosen your weapon, Vag, you must provide the base picture, not Billy. Also, Billy has added the caveat of "my only stipulation...its gotta be mainstream characters...and costumes..." but that also is up to you both.

3- lastly, you must both agree on three judges. (And, hey, the three judges must agree, as well!) Since I am already judging, I offer my services (again, for the same price!) but you may pick any member who is willing.
