Here's something you haven't seen me draw much around here... A girl! This is a sketch done in front of the TV last night that I thought would be fun to develop. It has a few proportion problems that I will likely attack first and then I'll block out a better realized background.

Bio did a girl last night? Wait...that came out wrong.

Anyhoo, looks great so far, bud. You should make girls more often...hmmm...drawings of girls, I mean.

Got the proportions sorted out, and blocked in the background... now to clean her up... I'm going to try out paths as that's how I did the background and I have never worked over a sketch that way before.

Everything about this image screams H.O.T. HOTTTTT!!!! EXCEPT her right hand. I think it is too big... but something about it isn't dead on like the rest of the image. That is my nitpick for the day... carry on.

Thanks June... I worked on the hand a bit, and a few other things.

I'm going to do a fix to show what I mean.
I don't want you to feel bad though.
Other than that great job.
Oh and I'll give you a tip for hair.

Thanks for the crit Red.

Here's an even uglier step in progress of my girl I'm still not sure of these path thingies, but it's fun to try something new.

Redoing a drawing in paths is really interesting. Very different than my usual looseness. Even my inks are generally way looser than this. Well anyway, the journey continues. I am already thinking about the next set of steps after the marathon of lines is done. I'm going to have to do a lot of work to loosen this up.

I don't know or understand the program you are using, so I'm not much help - but can you incorporate or do you want to incorporate the changes Redd is suggesting?

I'm appreciative of Red's critique, but it doesn't really apply to what I am doing. All of her suggestions, while for the most part accurate, seem geared towards a realistic depiction of the female anatomy. While I think I can understand where it's coming from my piece is really a more stylized approach to an idealized form. I know few appreciate my abstract scribbles, but they are of the visions that hold my interest.

It may be of some interest, to those following this thread, to know that the female form I was inspired by was Pamela Anderson/Lee/Anderson/Rock/Anderson/Salomon/Anderson.

Figured something like that. The Boobs are a give away.

It's finally starting to look like the image trying to get out of my head... Now I'm gonna start attacking some of the details.

This is a real fun challenge. Using paths has made me rethink how I do just about everything. So now the original design comes out a little clearer, and I've added some blocks of color, and a couple more grads.

This is lookin' great, Bio. As one of the aforementioned fans of appreciators of your "abstract scribbles," or as I like to call 'em "creepy cool creations," I can't wait to see where this vision takes your mind, or vice versa.
As far as the paths thing goes, I'm just starting to realize they even exist in Photoshop. But they do look very clean, crisp, and pretty cool.

I'm not sure if clean and nice is gonna stick. I'm usually such a mess. And this takes FOREVER!!!!

Thanks dd Since this is taking so long, there might be something popping up before I complete this one. It's hard to stick with the marathon pieces through to completion without taking a break and working on a fast one. In fact that's what this one was supposed to be
