I really liked this movie and I hope the sequel is better, but I don't like the way they packaged the "Special Collector's Edition". I paid the higher price, $30, and now I have a tin that's hard to open and won't fit on my shelf with my other DVDs. But it does include a CD with all of the Ultimate FF comics reprinted. That's kind of nice if you haven't read them. There are also some round collector's cards. If you've read the comics, don't pay the extra. Just get the standard disk for $15. It was another semi-watchable comic flick. Cool effects but I noticed quite a few problems with the editing... most noticeable is when Sue Storm's nose starts to bleed because of how hard she is working... then it cut away to Doom... and then back to her and there is no blood. But it was entertaining and surprisingly did not suck. I still have a problem with the Thing... but he wasn't as bad as he could have been. Posted on: 7 12 05 07:58 am

I watched the special features earlier. I couldn't wait to see what they revealed about X3... absolutely nothing! On her video diary, I got real tired of hearing Alba say "What we doing now guys?" Is she always so clueless? I'm interested to see what they come up next for the sequel. There was no mention of it on the DVD. Maybe in the commentary, but I didn't sit through that. But it will have to better than the mid 90s cartoon series where they all wore some sort of transformer armor/costumes. I like the glimps of Hulk and Cap fighting. I would hope with Giant Man tey would mention Wasp... at least a little. I don't have my hopes up for this, but I'll watch it anyway. It's a pretty good movie and one I'd say I'd like to own. Though I'm glad I missed it in the theatre. On the Avengers cartoon, I'll pass. And I felt robbed on the X3 crap they pulled. The overall plot was kind of weak and the acting was spotty but the effects made up for it bigtime. It even made me forget how weird the Thing looked. As for the X3 trailer I haven't seen it [that's what happens when you purchase bookleg videos ]. If anyone knows of a weblink where I might be able to see it I would apprciate it wholeheartedly.
