superhero Joined: 2003/10/2 20:14 From Lynnfield, MA USA Posts: 202 Level : 13; EXP : 25 HP : 0 / 306 MP : 67 / 18427	hey all, as you may or may not know, there is a live-action GI JOE film coming out in 2009 and guess what I read? according to http://comics2film.com, Sienna Miller has been cast to play The Baroness. the plot, according to http://imdb.com/title/tt1046173/synopsis: "Stephen Sommers will direct(here's hoping he'll reign in the CG), from a script by Stuart Beattie. The story is set at Brussells-based GIJOE, an acronym for the Global Intergrated Joint Operatives Entity, and around an international co-ed force of operatives who use hi-tech equipment to battle Cobra, an evil org headed by a Scottish arms dealer."-Real Movie News 11/20/07 sounds interesting, yes? let's hope it's decent. Sienna Miller is cast to be the Baroness, and Stephen Sommers is directing, but that's no longer the plot of the film. GI Joe will not be based in Brussels, it will be based in America like it should be. This was stated in a recent statement from Hasbro after much fan outcry over the whole global/Brussels thing. Evne though Joe is "A Real American Hero" they do have some members that are from other countries, so they're probably going to put some of those guys in it to appease international audiences instead of going with that European Joe idea. Besides most of Cobra is international with the Drednoks being mostly Australians and Destro being Scottish and the Baroness Eastern European. Why are they trying to bring G.I. Joe to the big screen? What's so special about them anyway? All they are is a bunch of glorified soldiers! Blockbuster comic book movies nowadays feature over-the-top effects and larger than life characters. Although I liked the comic and the TV cartoon show, the only reason I could think that anyone would want to see this movie would be to see how each team member is portrayed. Sure, they're gonna do it..but unless they have a really cool plot and great action and effects...then this one is best served for TV or DVD. Posted on: 23 11 07 12:46 pm

Snake Eyes 2. Storm Shadow 3. Destro 4. Baroness I wanna see a straight up ninja fight between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, dammit! I think Destro'd look cool if they did his mask right.
