hey Morphites,

how was everybody's weekend? do we have any CSI fans?
any of the three are fine, though I find MIAMI has almost no
dialogue and is mostly David Caruso putting on his shades
and trying to act like Joe Cool. anyhoo, has anyone noticed
that all three CSIs have Who songs for their themes? VEGAS
has "WHO ARE YOU?", MIAMI "Won't Get Fooled Again" and
NEW YORK has "BABA O'REILLY". I was just wondering if it
is simply a random decision or are Jerry and staff Who fans?
either way is fine. the man has excellent taste in music. any
thoughts or comments?

CSI kinda sucks now.
It has been on way too long and way too many series. The edge that made it cool a few years ago is long gone. Hell they have turned it into just another cop show. where the CSI's do the job of every single part of law enforcement. once they run out of cop stories like they did CSI stories, they will start having the team act as lawyers as well.
Cancel them all!!!!

In a way Hawk is right in that it's ridiculous that on all three shows the CSI people do everything, all the detective work, the busts, EVERYTHING! So, not the way that real life police work is done. That said however, I myself am a fan of the NY version the best, probably because I'm a born New Yorker and most of my family hails from the Big Apple. I do enjoy the original Vegas one, but never could stand the Miami version what with Caruso being portrayed as better than Batman and just looking at a paint chip and instantly knowing the make model and serial number of the vehicle that it came from.

Two things I can't stand about these new cop shows are;
1. fingerprints. Computers can't scan fingerprints like that, it's all done by people.
2. enlarging a photo and enhancing it to see the murderer's face in the reflection of a drinking glass or something. Most photos don't have that much resolution, and you're not going to make things like that appear.

From there things just get more and more stupid. Labs full of millions of dollars of equipment and officers who spend days working on one case at a time (who fund these CSIs?). Plus they can hack into every computer that ever existed in 3 seconds.

Oh hey, you burnt the letter but we put it back together and used the DNA from the gum you left under a table at McDonald's 15 years ago to link you to the sand that could only come from Spain... making you the murderer!

Only one thing that makes the original CSI worth watching - Grissom. And he's leaving.

Gary Sinise looks like he needs a strong laxative. But I'm trying to shift my loyalties from Vegas to NY.

Caruso is a jerk and absolutely ruins the Miami show.

So there.

I am glad that everyone has discussed the songs like Fartman was originally talking about.

I think that they are all Who songs because they want to keep the series related. You know just in case they want to do a cross over or something.

Oh, and Chilly... Don't you know in America we all scan fingerprints... that is how we roll!!!!

Yeah, and I don't know why he is putting on sunglasses over sunglasses... so don't ask.

hey Jr,

thank you so much for the nickname. though I would like to
think I'm better looking than Howard Stern. I wouldn't mind the
hot wife and sweet bank account though. actually the Who songs,
according to this Yahoo group LADY HEATHER'S DOMAIN, come from
Jerry Bruckheimer and Anthony Zuiker being huge fans of the group.
as for Chilly's comments on the main leads, Grissom is interesting
because he takes the professorial, philosophical approach while
Mac does need a little loosening up (though I guess he left for
Chicago the end of last season) as for Caine, yes he is a pompous
ass you like to smack.

as for the ladies, who would this group like to shag? the NY girls
do nothing for me, not even Melinda. MIAMI Duquene and Salas, VEGAS
Willows (perhaps) and maybe Sara. any favorites?
