i don't see why people are throwing a stink about the merger... I mean it was this way years ago. then people complained about wading through to find what they like and other factors caused the seperate galleries for a clean and streanlined site.

Personaly I think this way. artist can get inspired by others, can look at something, and if theyahve an idea how to help, even if they themselves don't know the medium they could refer the new kid to some one in that medium that knows a thing or two to offer an opinionas to how they can improve if they want to.

But I do agree, with the merger it would be a great idea to:
limit 1 image per artist per day
A sentance or two for the details. (lets face it if the image is good it speaks for it's self, and it should let the viewer draw their own interpertation as all art does)
Rough sketches and unfinished should be in the threads and Hellfire.

I can somewhat agree with DW. When we first came to HM the site looked like this. And I imagine the change was brought on due to LACK of activity. Back then people bitched because they'd post a pic and the next day it'd be on page 2. That's about when they decided on the 3 a day rule. But back then the site was active and 3 a day was still kicking your stuff to the 2nd page. Now..... it's a wonder if anyone gets creative any earlier than September. And sometimes you need a sudden change to wake you up. How else could HM last 5 years?

If you guys are toying with the idea of bringing back the monthly challenges..... I'd support that
