This is the first challenge for the fan fiction section of Heromorph.
I am going to start this one off fairly easy and not put many guidelines on it.
Make the story an Origin short story, using any character you want. If you are using an existing character re-tell the original in a unique way (kind of like a Ultimate version). The story can be adult or regular. The Due date will be Jan 31st/2005.
After the stories are up, a poll will decide the winner of the challenge. The Prize will be a custom avatar and a custom rank.

well...that leaves me out. All my heroes end up either killing themselves off at the end ( didn't get the girl...OR GUY, if a female )...or the government puts them away for a l-o-o-o-o-ng time for all the 'collateral damage' that they've done.

Well I said short story because I don't want a full novel, but you can keep it as long or as short as you would like it.

Yes, yes you do. You dont have to link you can just post in the fan fiction section and then make a post here.

Well with all the Invisible Woman stuff popping up lately it inspired me to write the adult short story I've had kicking around in my head for a while now. Hope you all like it. I may u/l it to the Greyarchive as well if that's ok?

I can't manip at work, and due to SOMEONE perpetually filling the shoutbox with nudie animations I can't use the Shout Box at work without getting into trouble.
So I spent an hour of company time writing a short story just for this comp. And it's the origin of someone's career, as per the rule.
Max - go read it, will only take a minute - it's short. A short story. An origin short story.

Unfortunately, I am going to have to disqualify "A Night in the Baxter Building" from the challenge. It is not an origin story and as the rules of this challenge states the short stories must be an origin story to be eligible.

I have added a story - rather long (in 3 parts), and while I believe it is an origin of sorts, it is not the origin of a character. Anyway, I tried.

I was thinking that it had to bring a new element to an existing origin story, not be a retelling of one. That's why I touched heavily on the ideas that all 4 members of the FF had been changed physically by the accident, not just the Thing. Still hope people liked it though.
