Looks like they recast everybody from the first film. [Liv Tyler as Betty? Not bad.] Still it can't be any worse than the first movie was.

Norton apparently also wrote the script, or re-wrote it or something.

Also, you're just now finding out about this? Heath Ledger is playing the Joker in the next Batman movie, in case you hadn't heard.

Anyone can play Bruce Banner, afterall it's the big green guy we all want to see smash crap up! And as far as Heath Ledger is concerned...I think they just screwed up the comeback of the Batman franchise.

Who cares who the new Bruce Banner is. The last guy wasn't very beleivable as BB to me anyway. he wasn't very wimpy, dorky and what happened to the glasses?

As far as I'm concerned, they've pretty much screwed up with every DC comic movie recently. Marvel they are getting pretty good at, but Hulk was a disappointment. I don't even know anything about the characters (in Hulk). I can hope for the future tho.

Blade = cool (even though it was the same movie 3 times)
Spider-man = great (1 and 2 are, though I haven't seen 3 for fear it will suck)
X-Men 1 and 2 were awesome, but X-Men 3 was so bad it actually went back in time and made the first two suck a bit.
Daredevil = bad
Elektra = worse
Hulk = horrible
Fantastic 4 = beyond awful (didn't bother seeing the second after the first)
Punisher = could have been good if it wasn't so sanitised (blood and bodies actually disappear)
Ghost Rider = watchable
The Iron Man previews look good.

So I have Marvel running at about 50%.

The only movies I can think of from DC recently are Batman Begins, Constantine and Superman Returns, and all were pretty good.

I have to wonder though, with all the millions spent on each movie, why are there so many suckfests? I reckon they need to make more movies away from Hollywood and focus groups - forget about what people say they want and just make a good movie.

Batman begins was watch once, and Superman Returns should be returned(if you even bothered to buy it). Brian Singer shoulda stuck with X-men, Superman is tragic but the Jesus metophores were too numerous and obvious. I was not aware Contantine was DC, and did not see it.
As for Marvel, I only remember good movies, so I mostly agree with you on that. FF was pretty good for me(a non-fan) but Sue's casting rubs me the wrong way.

Superman and Batman as characters are both blatantly obvious Jesus metaphors anyway, so you can't really blame the movies for that.
Superman Returns was good but hampered by bad casting (with Lois Lane) and the need to be both a sequel/homage and origin movie for new viewers.
Batman begins was interesting up until the third act when he completely became Batman (then it lost the plot, as was inevitable with Batman characters).
Constantine was nothing like the comic books but I like it anyway for the plot and mythology.

None were great movies but were well produced.

Fantastic Four, that was bad. Sue was not blonde enough (I think they made her hair blonder for the sequel), it lokoed cheap, there was almost no storyline and the final battle was a joke.

This is why they are called opinions. It's interesting to see what other people think though. We are on the same page with Batman, but FF and Superman I mostly disagree. As for the Jesus stuff, I can get that, but I am decidedly not christian, so it can get a little offensive if with as many references as Returns had.

As far as I'm concern, I usualy prefer to wait and see what the they do, so about the upcoming Hulk movie that's what I'll do. Just hope they don't screw it up and more action scenes and maybe some lines for the big green guy, I want to see "Hulk Smash".
But I have to agree with your opinion in the movies you mention, chillyplasma. And SpiderMan3, it was a desapointment to me . I wanted to see more Venom in it. He only show up for 5/10minutes...What up with that?
As for Contantine, I liked it, but would prefer a different leading actor in it. Keannu Reeves is OK, but I just can't see him as Constantine...
Now, what I'm afraid they will screw up big time is the JLA movie that they are talking in the net.
Let's wait and see...

Well,I heard they are gonna use the big guns: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash (God, just hope they don't make him an idiot like in the Tv Pilot), Green Lantern( Not Hal Jordan), But they are looking for less known actors for the roles, and that sometimes is not a good ideia. Let's hope at least they have a good plot.

Yeah, let's keep our fingers crossed. which Lantern are they going with? Guy Garner or John Stewert? I know next to nothing about both, but from what I do know, I don't like Guy, so I'm hoping for John.

Sounds promising. I'm already used him from watching the Justice League cartoons. I am a little ambivalent about whether they should use Routh for Superman or not. I kinda wish Tom Welling was a little older so he could do it.What do you guys think?

The will not use Christian Bale or Brandon Routh in the roles. However sounds like they will use Jessica Biel as Wonder Woman. Wonder who they will cast as Aquaman? He's in it too.
