I saw this movie yesterday, or the day before, I forget.
I may have to see it again, because the action was so fast and it was hard to keep track of everything... but mostly because when I went there were three punks who wouldn't stop shouting at the screen.

I thought the movie was a bit corny in places, then I realised that if you were going to be true to the subject material then you would have to be corny - they are giant transforming robots.

Objectively I would rate this movie a 7 out of 10, but if in the mood to see an action/special effects blockbuster, I rate it a 9.

P.S. Stay about 3 or 4 minutes into the credits to see some little extra bits.

I'm looking forward to it. I remember watching the show as a kid and even though a couple months ago I watched the original movie and found it "lame" I can hardly wait to see this one. I love action movies and Michael Bay makes some awesome ones!

He spelled "difficulty" wrong... Are you sure that's not PowerMasterJazz?

Whatever happened to Bumblebee the Volkswagen? Does anybody remember him? I would think they would want to bring him back, considering how fuel-efficient he was.

Well, I, as a Bot and rider/driver of many Bot-related vehicles, stand foursquare for the Transformer movie, even though I haven't seen it yet.

They couldn't use a volkswagon in the movie because of legal things. But keep your eyes open.

I would find Alex brother's video more entertaining if I could see him changing the toy. Staring at some guy's grimacing face while his hands work away down below is not my genre of choice...

Well it was 07/04/07 after work 6:30pm movie start,
Boy, that was some wait 0ne and A half hours then twenty minutes of trailers and ads!
But the wait was worth it!

Amazing!
Fast Paced!
Start to finish action!
Great and classic Characters!
Story Somewhat Familiar!
Ending?...Watch for the Sequel!

Would really have love to take in a good view of the Robots not in motion!
Inside things to watch for Facts:-
Watch the thing hanging on BumbleBee's mirror...
.... Bee..ootch...very funny!
On the side of BARRICADE when he is a Policecar...
it says..."To Punish and Enslave" if I'm not mistaken.

well...I'm sitting here listening to "Gitarzan" by Ray Stevens, sucking down a bottle of Mrs. Butterworths...and thought I'd stop by and see if a 'Transformers' thread had been started yet. And, there has.

Saw the movie this afternoon...oldest nephew got Unk a free pass to the matinee.

Not too bad on the f/x part...although they could have slowed down the transforms sequences a bit here and there. Plus, a bit more on the charactor developement would have been nice...but, considering what HollyWeird has done in the past...well, I guess they can do that in the sequal.

Yes, I said SEQUAL. This movie screams out for a sequal.

7 for story...9 for f/x...0 for the jerk sitting there with a cellphone, sending the soundtrack to someone not there...

I give it an overall 8.

Saw it July 4th, and I must say that I went in with an open mind since I knew that it was going to be a lot different than what most of us have grown up with. However, instead of being a whining fanboy like most TF Fans, I was pleasantly surprised. I actually loved it! It had pleanty of action and humor and a few little homages to what came before. Plus, Peter Cullen's reprisal of Prime was just splendid and the effects were outstanding! A solid 9 out of 10!

Actually it said "To Punish and Enslave"

I saw the movie today; It wasn't a bad way to spend a Saturday matinee.
Transformers came a bit after my time, so I didn't really have many preconceived notions about them; And I thought it was a very good production of what could have been a very bad movie.

hey all,

I saw the movie last night and I must say I enjoyed it.
there were a few dumb moments, but in all, it's a
very entertaining two-and-a-half-hour bit of mind candy.
interestingly enough, the guy who voice Optimus
Prime in the movie is the same one who voiced him in
the cartoon way back when. Miss Fox also made the
movie pleasant to watch as well. so, I'm glad I went
and hopefully everyone else enjoyed it as well.

I thought it was pretty enjoyable. The jokes were fairly good (you can't take a movie based on a line of toys seriously anyway), and the action worked.

I thought it was good although they kinda dragged out parts like the blonde girl and the signal analysis part....but overall I liked it a lot! I think it made Spiderman 3 look pretty stupid....and I liked Spiderman 3.

Mr. Werter! Amazing argument you have! I need to thank you because you made me remember this thread. Now, I would like to post my view too...

**SPOILERS**

I like sci-fi. This is not a secret. But Transformers was the most insulting movie I ever saw.

It's stupid. Let me point only three problems. This film doesn't deserve more English than that:

Pee jokes. PEE JOKES! Who does, in his/her sane mind, think this is still funny nowadays? I know the answer: retards and 6 year-old children.

Autobots have no sympathy. If they die, you don't care! I didn't cry when Jazz died. And this single fact shows us that the story is a mess (did someone here cry when Neo or Trinity died? It's the same problem).

Optimus Prime, at the end of the movie, said they were about to leave Earth. But, in the final scene, he tell us they decided to stay! What happened between these scenes? Does the director think we have the perception of an oyster?

You know... Hollywood only gave me trash movies to watch this year. I thank you, Hollywood! You showed me that I'm too old for these crappy Blockbusters!

Woody Allen? I'm coming back.
