What's the criteria for cuts in the categories where there are too many?
Might I suggest a better option would be to have 'heats' in these categories...say 3 or 4 smaller polls and then the top 2 or 3 winners from each of the smaller polls go into the final poll.
It would be really sad for some to miss out on a chance (or just the high of being nominated) just because they share too much good company.
Due to the overwhelming response to the nominations in the last couple of days before the cut off, the other judge and I are going to take a couple more days to sort threw them all. Already a few of the nominations have been cut because they did not meet the eligibility guidelines provided in the first post. Due to the high number of nominations in some categories some additional cuts might be made. As well some categories did not receive many nominations, so we will be adding some nominations to certain categories. Thank you for your patience.

NO, but since this version of the site is only just over one year old, by default any picture would automatically have been posted on or after 2003/8/14.

Anyone wanna bet how many Teelas there will be? Or Evil-lynns? Or Sorceresses? Or which one of the three will be Maniped the most? He-Man may be a little narrow, but let's see what Hawk has in mind.
Sleepenemy- Textures, I have noticed you are the king of smooth, you do latex perfectly but I noticed that you have a very distinct lack of textures. My homework to you would be to have a character/characters in a manip with some textures on their costumes. Maybe Metamorpho, he has lots of textures on him, or someone with fur or chain mail, something like that.
MatrixBlur-- Cloth. Do a manip with lots of fabric. Think big flowing and hanging cloth. I will leave you with that. Have Fun.

i found this link this afternoon at a great site called x-entertainment http://www.x-entertainment.com/articles/0726/ and it gave me a great idea. assuming there isn't a september challenge already picked, might i suggest a Masters of the Universe manip challenge? (if there is already a sept. challenge, i'll just do a couple of random MOTU manips to get it out of my system

I was thinking at the end of the month just making a post in the forums with a link to all the pictures, that is why I have told every one to post a message here so it will be easier to find them all at the end of the month. I don't really want to bump all the contest pictures to the front page, that is a little unfair t those guys not involved in the challenge to have their posts pushed down that fast.
