From what I see about those few photos...I don't like the costume at ALL!!!! I like the fact that it is a WW II theme..but I hope it goes more modern. The suit is too baggy, the color scheme is wrong, and what is with those grey strips on his chest?? I hope that is not the helmet he is gonna wear throughout the movie....yeck!!!! The shield looks damaged in other picks I've seen. And what the hell is it, that every friggin time a new super hero movie come down the pipe, they gotta go the Ultimate's route? What the hell is wrong with doing an origin and staying true to the roots of the character, and not branching off into some stupid sub-universe they made just to up sales? I can't stand that. That is definately the Ultimates look for Cap shown here, they even have pieces that look like it came off a moto-cross riders armor. But, that's my 2 cents worth.

I really dislike the "Ultimate" take on the Marvel characters. I, too, wish they would use the regular, original continuity. (For example the FF films. They used the Ultimate version.) The Nazis look far too advanced to me. Looks like Sky Captain almost. And the Nazis have Hydra insignia. Oh this is going to be a mess.

I am so not looking forward to this. Like a guy in their thread said, this has potential to outcamp the 1960's Batman TV show.

1. Cap is my all-time favorite superhero. 2. I HATE HATE HATE the (not so) Ultimate universe! 3. Hope this won't be the next "Ang Lee Hulk" movie. 4. Chris Evans might be the only thing that could save this movie. 5. I'm still gonna go see it.

These pictures were taken from the production on location, when they filmed the movie they have to do color correction to the photography, I think it won't look like those pictures. And talking about the skull bikes the look toooo muuuch futuristic, I think that's wrong. Another think, personally I like better the original marvel universe, but the captain america from the ultimate universe is more interesting to me, is more of a soldier (with a temper) than the original. Let's hope for the best

We can hope for the best, doesn't necessarily mean we'll get it. I, myself, have lowered my expectations when it comes to movies in the "superhero genre". Thus far, none of them seem to be getting it right. Sure, the effects are pretty amazing, but the stories, costumes and continuity all tend to suffer. Really, the only ones that haven't left a bad taste in my mouth are the Hellboy movies and the movie adaptation of "300" and "Sin City", though I have made it a point to collect them on DVD, all except Ang Lee's piece of crap attempt at Hulk.

There is no way that that is Chris Evans... I love the triple-chin... he looks fatter than me. (in the face... still a little skinnier in the belly ) YEAH!!!! Fat Captain! Go team! He is breathing heavy just riding that bike! Fat ass.

Like a lot of others have said here, I was never a fan of the "Ultimate" Marvel Universe, in fact I'm surprised that it's lasted as long as it has since I wrote it off long ago as another fad alternate universe that would have come and gone like the whole 2099 stuff, and I actually liked that universe! As for these released Cap Movie pics, I read some posts on another site that showed the same pics and a lot of people there mentioned that the "fat guy" is just a stunt double and that the costume he's wearing is just his accompanying stunt costume, therefore it's not as detailed or form fitting as the real one that Chris Evans will be wearing since you won't be seeing it close up, but in action scenes like the motorcycle chase that they are filming here in these photos. Although on the other hand, they better have some really great post production effects or this will still turn out to look really hokey.

I just stumbled onto some fresh photos of the upcoming Captain America movie... thought I'd share. Check out photo #8 for "Techno-Nazis" whose patches on their arms bear a striking resemblance to the "HYDRA" insingnia lolz Everything after photo #8 is just press conference fodder and concept art we've seen already. http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1806075648/tt0458339

Why does that surprise you? Isn't it common knowledge in the Marvel universe that the Hydra organization has its roots based from the Natzi regim? How else does it explain having directors such as Baron Strucker and the Red Skull? Although this movie probally will bomb horribly..I think this is a nice little touch.

doesn't surprise me, what surprises me is the "techno-Nazi" this film is set in a particular era, and in doing so, it should stick to the materials available during said era... which ofc, its not doing. Then again, it is a movie, and Hollywood.......so no surprise really.

If they are going along with the Ultimate version of the Marvel Universe, they may be building up to the Avengers movie with the Captain America movie. In the first Ultimates series, Cap faced off against some technologically advanced Nazis in his last battle before he was frozen. Those Nazis turned out to be getting their advanced tech from the Skrull which was what the first Ultimates series ended on with a Skrull invasion.
