Hello Heromorph.

You have probably noticed a few changes have been occurring on the site in the past couple of days.

These changes are in response to our current Gold member site survey. (a regular member survey will be coming soon). We just wanted to make sure that we got and addressed any issues or ideas that or gold members had first. Besides the visual changes we have tried to speed up the home page by removing some of the graphics and changing the configuration of the main page.

Hopefully you will all find this a more user friendly environment to surf.

Other changes:

include the search. besides the site search, (that doesn't always work very well) we have added a google search specifically for heromorph to help with your searching needs.

Also we have increase the gallery image sizes to 4000x4000 pixels and 975 KB's. to allow for larger images then we have ever had.

More changes are on the way.

It is our mission to Make Heromorph the best fan art site that it can be.

We have added in a new Ubb code for everyone.

It is for spoilers, Just type in [spoiler] then your secret information and close it off with [/spoiler]

The effect will vary depending on the theme gold members have selected. For regular members the current default theme will show you a colored box where you have to use your mouse to highlight the text to make it readable.

yay for bigger images! it didnt even need to be 4000, i woulda settled for 3000.

but yay!

The galleries will now take more then just Jpg Files.
You can now upload Gif files and PNG files.
And introducing the newest ability. You can upload PDF files to our galleries.

All members should now be able to update and delete their own artwork in the galleries.

there is a little icon that looks like this that should appear beside the title of an image that you have posted. this will take you to the edit screen.. Once there you can upload a new version of the image change the text describing the image or delete the image.
This was previously a gold member only ability. but now all registered members are be able to do this.

Updating an image counts towards your daily posting limit as per the posting policy as updated images are brought back to the top of the gallery.

You can now upload Shockwave Flash Files (.swf) to the galleries

Now with both the PDF files and the Shockwave flash files, they all must still conform to the posting policy. Neither of these files will have properly generated thumbnails. and the viewer will need to have the proper software installed to view them.

It's true, you can now embed Flash files in the Forum. HM is truly a miracle!

we upgraded the forums,
You may or may not notice much of a difference for the user end of things, but there was a very large difference on the admin side.

Also the forums, now have an rss feed.

For gold members you may notice that the extra block with the gold member forums is gone. that is because all recent posts and threads share this block. only gold members can see the gold member threads and posts. Reg members can not, they simply do not show up on there list.

Had to turn off the Heromorph contact us link on the main menu. Although people may need our help a couple times per week. the sheer volume of spam is incredible. today only I had 49 messages of spam and it is only 2 in the afternoon. I will leave my e-mail on my profile as that seems to have worked in the past.

the only thing that i miss is the random pictures in the home page...but i can live without them
