What about Emily Deschanel? not well known, 5' 9", amazing eyes, and already knows how to play innocent, which from what i hear is what Joss is going for, an orgin story unlike Singers' Superman Returns. Hey, someone make a pic and see if it even looks good...

Her father is famed cinematographer Caleb Deschanel whose credits include The Passion of the Christ and Titanic. Her mother is actress Mary Jo Deschanel. She has one sister, Zooey Deschanel, who is also an actress. Emily graduated from Boston University's Professional Actors Training Program with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater. I wouldn't mind seeing a manip pic of Emily Deschanel as WW just to make sure, but i really do think she can pull it off.
Has anyone heard if they've got the script done yet, the movie as a release date of 2007 so they better hurry up.

Hey wasn't Mia Maestro MY call?  That aside, I always thought she has the mediterranian features to suit the character, a great look, and you KNOW she can handle the physical side of the role handily after playing Nadia on ALIAS... She could bind me with a magic lasso any time...
