Step 6 Temp remove lines and add in details more dodge burn smudge and blur

Ok so you lost me on the color variation. That and I'm not much for dodge and burn. But smudge has definately come in handy a few times. Oh, and what does dropping the line work and adding in details do for you?

I get it. That's how I color. I use the line work as a guide and remove it when I have the basic shape set. I use a LOT more dodge and burn because I'm not real good at selecting colors for highlights and shadows. Can't wait to see the progress on this.

the color varistion is just that, a different color added so the skin has some variation.
well this is going to end up as a painting so in the end the lines will not be present.

more steps.


step 7 - Unsharp mask


step 8 - paint eye brows correct previous burn


Step 9 - lip flats


step 10 - dodge burn and color variation


Step 11 - Smudge Dodge Burn smudge smudge dodge burn burn burn smudge dodge dodge dodge Smudge smudge smudge


Step 12 - Drop lines and bland lips to head and details for both lips and mouth area. dodge burn smudge

What a crazy few days, I haven't had a chance to work on this since the last time I posted but I able to put in an hour tonight here is what I did.


Step 13: eye color flats


Step 14: copy eyeliner and Eye lash line work and add that little pink thing beside the eyeball.


Step 15: Make up and additional skin details.


Step 16: eye details


Step 17: Tiara flats


Step 18: Tiara Metallized

Oddball question. I'm half curious if I should go about doing a piece the way you just did. I figure the benefits are that you all can see exactly when I screwed something or at what time it's right to do certain things..... Uhm.... yeah, that's it.
