Quick question to all the Poser Users. Is there an option to turn the limits of the morhing on? In Daz you could leave the limits on for realistic pose, or turn it off to trist and morph the item well beyond the norm

never seen one mind you never went looking for one either Try using your eye and just eyeball the pose, if it doesn't look real..then you have gone too far.

BTW why is DAZ Dead?

My sentiments exactly. As an avid daz user..the topic of this thread is interested me. You can't start a thread with a topic like that and not explain yourself.

Simply put I am thinking of going with Poser 7 is all. But can the Daz users answer a question for me? Even after unchecking the auto refresh option it takes for ever for the program to respond. it takes seconds for the model to eb rotated in any direction. and takes up to as long as 10 minutes to render a simple image ( by simple I mean a bare naked model) What can I do to fix this?

To me, that sounds like a) a bugged version or b) your comp might not have the reccomended specs.
If it's a), you should put up a post over in the daz3d forums.

on my computer, can't remember the specs, it's all of 5-10 sec onds to render a bare model in Daz, while in Poser 7, it's little over a minute. Same difference between Lighted/Clothed renders. for me, it takes little over 10-15 minutes with a medium resourced scene to render in D/S. in Poser, it takes bout 20-25 minutes. and not to mention that Daz starts up immediately, while it takes Poser 7 about 2-3 minutes to start up. What it sounds like to me is that your computer is underpowered. i would try a Demo of Poser 7 to see if it reacts the same way, other wise you have a buggy copy, which isn't impossible.

I have a full version of P7 and it flies through rotations and rendering, as for the system it is a Duel Core 6.0 P 1 gig of Ram, 320 gig hard drive....blah blah blah, under powered is not in its Volcabulary :)

well then, if your comp is that powered, my guess is that your copy of D/S is buggy. is it windows, or mac, though? i've heard that Poser/Mac is better than D/S for mac, something bout how the prgram doesn't translate to Mac well.

otherwise, i would just wait till the next version of D/s, or re-download and re-install the version you have, that might fix things.

Peter Cotton, Yunners: Thanks. I have the 1.7 works better no lag time and faster renders. I will be talking to you guys to fine tune some things.

In response to your question:

Under the figure menu, there is a 'Use Limits' option. Just make sure it's checked. A lot of pose sets don't work to well with it on though, depending on whether the makers used it or not.
