I like a wide variety of art subjects and styles (although My favorite subjects are the standard female superheroes).

I make a lot of comments on the art posted on Heromorph (partly because I want people to comment on mine) and try to say something nice about most of it. Some pictures I don't make a comment on because I was taught if you can't say something good about someone (or something) don't say anything at all.

Lately some artists (I won't mention any names) have been posting a flood of pictures that to me they should be taking more time on and trying to improve. Flooding the galleries with "low quality or rushed" pictures just to be posting is wrong in my opinion

I will stop talking now before I get in trouble. As I said before I really like Heromorph and want to be a member of the site for a long time to come. The last thing I want is to get kicked off of the site.

bhm1954, I agree with you all the way.
btw: I really appreciate your comments and suggestions on my stuff and when I make comment on your work is because I really like it.
Darkwinter999, I wouldn't like you if you liked my comment on boobs.

(hope she knows I'm joking... )

When BikerBot invited me over to Heromorph, I was a little bit apprehensive. I had been a member at comics2film when the invitation was issued. Out of curiousity I checked out the site and was very impressed with the quality of the art submitted. I didn?t think that my work measured up. He assured me that if my work didn't measure up, I wouldn't have been invited. I decided, well ?what the heck?? I submitted my first manip titled Vampirella ? Night Shift. I was given a very warm welcome and made to feel very much at home right from the start. I have always appreciated the feedback, both positive and negative. I believe that positive feedback is always nice to receive but we also learn from the negative. I have to agree with chillyplasma about the freaks. I think you will always find extremists in any fan site but they?re the ones that make things interesting. They stir thinks up, rattle cages and bring out the best (or beast) in you. This is probably the best support group for our little addiction? and I?m here to stay (for as long as they keep me).

Every artist is their own worst critic. Trust me, that one measures up. Definitely.

Re: So...What you feel about Heromorph
Well my take is fairly simple, I like the site and the people that work hard to keep Heromorph going should be proud. The same for the people that help people and offer advice.

In a lot of ways, I figure I am lucky to have stumbled onto the site, to have read some of the artist profile/interviews, and to have met some people that have helped me.

As far as looking for votes and 10s, it's nice but doesn't end my world if I don't get any. If anything, I rather get a comment about what I did wrong, could improve on, or what someone didn't like. I learned more from those than the "good job" comments. Of course I don't beat myself up over the criticism either. This is supposed to be a hobby I enjoy not stress about. I have been told that some will not offer criticism because people have gotten mad. This is sad really. Perhaps there should be an Ego-check Girl at the entrance? High heels, seamed stockings, short dress... but I digress.

I will keep plugging away, trying to improve and trying new things. To those that have helped, a big thanks. I hope it shows in what I do. To those that leave comments, thanks as well. I wish I knew enough to return the consideration. For now, I agree with CDA, I am here to stay... until the lights go out or the bouncer throws me in the alley.

I think this place sucks... but y'all are the only peeps that make me feel sane....

All I can say is that I am glad that BB came and found me to claim my images as my own (yes, someone else posted my stuff here first) And I have been addicted since. Effen BikerBot.

Now, if I could figure out how to do more than one image a year I would be set.

Ok, so we got one arguement crossing 2 threads?

Well, I already said a bit about the whole commenting thing on the other thread so......

I tend to show people art I drew back in the late 80s. It is a reference point to show them that between the ages of 5 and 28, my progression had moved at a snails pace.

After stumbling upon HM and becoming surrounded by artists like Android, JrMcDeath, and BioHaz Daddy. I've since taken a look at my art over the last couple years. It shocks me how much I've progressed in that short amount of time. And I named those 3 artists because I admire them, aspire to be as good as them some day, and frequently pick their brains so that I may learn from them. And not only that, I count them among my close friends.

Heromorph is, quite simply, my guilty pleasure.

And I'm still alive folks, I just hit a creative slump.

I like the new and improved layout of the site and I like the fact that my participation in this year's Smackdown has helped me to push myself and learn how to do more with Photoshop to make better art. It also allowed me to develop one of my characters and work on making better drawings also. Even though participation this year lacked somewhat I hope that there will be a Smackdown 3 because I certainly would love to join in again.

And I like parallel universes and picking on people, but this is a discussion about Smackdown slackers and callous commenters.
Wow. All that alliteration is alarming! Adios! Au revoir? Auf weiderstein. Okay, just bye.

You're an illiterate pie if you think there is any alliteration in your post!
