A new contest for the new year and everyone's invited! You can be a drawer, 3Der, maniper or whatever medium you use to enter.

You'll have to work within the following guidelines.

1) Follow the theme that will be announced on January 12th
2) There will be 3 items that will have to appear in every image posted. Those items will be announce January 12th
3) No porn. If you make an image and it falls within our guidelines of an Adult image, it will be disqualified.

Starting February 1st, voting in each category will begin and will end on the 7th of February.

On February 8th, the voting will begin for the winners of each category and end on the 14th to determine our Grand Prize Winner.

The winner of each art category (3D, Manip, Drawing...) will receive a $10 Heromorph Gift Certificate.

The Grand prize winner will get a $25 Heromorph Store Gift Certificate.

The Theme is Earth, Wind and Fire

Earth = Marble (the stone)
Wind = Flying Creature (insects are included)
Fire = Lightning

When entering your image, start the image title with EWF Entry : "(Image Name)"

Does the stone have to be Marble or can it be any type of stone?

Sorry for the confusion. Marble is the type of stone we are looking for.

(which was a big deal for me as I have been posting elsewhere recently)
Be interesting to see how many people enter, cause HM seems pretty quiet recently.

Argh! Some douchebag already rated it an 8! I make an image that is completely fake and taxes my PC to the limit and I get an 8... I do some 2 hour crappy thing and I get 10s.

I entered. Lord help me.

It's not the score so much for me as the learning process. As I know I'm still a NOOB to the whole thing and appreciate the better artists' input greatly (e.g. your suggestion on the Transporter Malfunction piece of mine)

Where and how improvements could be made would be great knowledge.
Yeah, feedback should be required for voting purposes...

I actually did another manip, a big battle scene with Thor and others... but then I realised if I posted it here all I would be doing is splitting the vote and making it harder for myself! (done that before)

It's just two manips and no sketches so far... anyone else going to enter?

Chilly and drunken D I did a forum rant once for just the same issue. If ya want ta give an artist a score at least provide a reason.

On the color I did of She-Hulk I received an 8 which I had no problems with because the poster actually told me why! Hell if ya give me a 1 I can live with thay so long as there are reasons. Notice I didn't say valid reasons, because its all in the eye of the viewer.

Although "I don't like the character", "I hate your guts", "Your my best friend in the whole world", "I want you to give me a ten also", or "Your a mod, I don't want you mad at me". ARE NOT VALID POINTS OF CRITIQUE!

The boys put their heads together and selected this years Heromorph Versus winners.

#1 for 3D is Yunners with his entry, "The Storm Maker"
#1 for Manipulation is Drunkendragon with his entry, "All in Good Fun"
Each of them win a $10 gift certificate to the Heromorph Store.

I can let you in on a little secret. The first place 3D winner was very close and was seriously debated.

Our Grand Champion is LiarsSmile with his entry, "One Shall Stand"
LiarsSmile has won himself a $25 Gift Certificate to the Heromorph Store.

Sadly, we had no entries for 2D this year. Perhaps next year?
