August Challenge - Comic Cover |

OK here is Augusts challenge everyone. There is no sign up deadline for this one and everyone is welcome to play. This month the Challenge will be to Draw, Manip, paint, or however you want to make it: an original comic book cover. (The cover does not have to include original characters just do not copy an existing cover, original compositions only please) The due date will be the end of the month. The winner will recieve a custom avatar as a prize. The winner will be determined by a simple poll. Have fun everyone. On your mark, get set, go....

OK, I know you said "Comic Cover" but can it be another cover? Any other publication or JUST comics. I don't have any ideas right now, but just in case... I was curious.

sounds like fun...you know i'm in like flynn! but, like jr said...does it have to be exclusively comic book covers? max, did you remember to lock android in the closet?  just kiddin ya android...i mean we'd let ya out after the judging... the voices are running free again!

This has nothing to do with anything really but the saying is "in like Flint"; it refers to a series of sixties spy movies(that never got it's dues) staring James Corbern. He was America's answer to James Bond (with a bigger harem of women, but no real spy skills). One of the titles of those Flint movies was In Like Flint.

First of all, it's good to see you back, Cereal Killer. We missed you (and the missus). Second, the 'Flint' movies are awesome, almost more along the lines of Austin Powers than Bond, but definitely somewhere in between. However, I believe that the original saying is "in like Flynn", and refers to Errol Flynn, who was such a big star in his day that he was a shoo-in for any role he wanted. Ergo, "in like Flynn" means a sure thing. At least that's what I heard... I'm just chock full of useless trivia.

Am I allowed to enter Ivy and mine's Warbird/Photon cover in this contest? A-seein' as it don't look like we're gonna take the Crossover Challenge...
