i am intensely bummed to report that after several days of staring at the base photos, and my bank of superhero references, i have absolutely nothing in the way of ideas for this month's challenge. i think i shall take this opportunity to bow out gracefully and enjoy the other artists' works. ahhh, that feels better. now i can start another manip in good conscience.

One of my favorite phrases comes from the book, "The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress", by Robert A. Heinlein. (You can look him up when you're done reading.) The quote is actually chiseled into the rock above the doorway that prisoners exiled to the Moon use to enter the prison: "T.A.N.S.T.A.A.F.L". Try saying it, it rolls off the tongue. It stands for "There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch", and buddy, there Ain't. The very definition of Value is Cost, otherwise it's not worth anything. I am almost done but both Brick and BB have asked for an extension. since they is only 4 of us left in the competetion I figured I would extend it again. The New due date is Aug 14/04. Now get to work boys.

I do feel like I cheated. After I got the idea for using the fish my frankenstien nature got the better of me and I had to make the picture in my head. It was still a _very_ intersting excersise being limited to the pot! I wouldnt be disapointed if I was left out of the vote, As for me voting, I couldnt choose between the two of you, save to say BB had more of a story going on, and WH was more rooted in comic lore. If your both 10x2 I'd call it a tie.

Step One: You get 1 point for each user submitted base image you use. If you use all ten images you will get an extra 2 points for maximum of 12 points from this part of the competition. Results- Winterhawk 12 points. Bikerbot 12 points. Brick 9 points. Step 2:The next two parts each participant will vote on the other participates picture on a scale of one to ten for two separate scores, One for overall presentation and integration. My votes. Bikerbot- presentation:9 integration:9 Brick- presentation:10 integration:9 Now you guys vote.

Numbers on a Monday? You take your chances, my friend... So, it's Presentation and Integration, eh? Actually I expected you to be harder on me. Since you have already won I'll say I liked yours better becuase (irony as mine was overcooked) yours was manipped _more_ for the overall scene. And I'm not being flip.. Its just that element that I like. Winters was cleaner, but slightly less congealed as a whole. I'll count myself out and the score 10.10 / 9.5.9.5. on crazy curve. Yeah thats a cop-out, but 10X10 for playing in the first place.
