I have been requested by a user on another site to submit my image of Arisia -http://heromorph.com/heromorph2/modules/myalbum4/photo.php?lid=10182 as a print to purchase. Anyway, while this is my interpretation of her, she is a copyrighted character from D.C. comics. My question for the experts here, what could the ramifications be of selling it?

well i have no idea what the ramifications of this would be..but knowing Marvel/DC i doubt it would be a good idea to openly market one of thier characters. what i would suggest is that if this individual liked your image enough then he should purchase it as a commision piece.

I think Star pretty much hit the nail on the head here. Marvel and DC seem to have no problem with commissioned art of their characters but I've never seen anything mass produced that didn't have to run through their respective licensing.

I tend to agree. Which since I am new to this commission print thing, I asked the pros. This person wanted to buy a print from Deviantart, and since it is a well known site. i thought complications could arise from submitting the image for mass producing prints.
