The second clip was way more coolerer.
I have never seen the cartoon so I know nothing of the storyline... but that was kick ass the way the ship breached. NICE.

Sayy Whaaa? You've never seen the Star Blazers???
You could Google and Wiki it but here is a quick synopsis. Evil stellar empire from another galaxy thwarts Earths New Space Force and irradiates the Earth. Moving population to underground cities all on Earth will die within a year. Another alien race sends partial help. They can stop the radiation with a device if Earth can send a ship to get device. Six months to get there and get back. That's the gist of the story. It's very cool.
