recently...quite recently actually, I purchased and installed a copy of Poser 7 (hey, it was only $50...win!) Problem is, I can't figure out how to install my resources much less know where to go to find new resources and models. Can anybody point me in the right direction for freebies and tell me how to install all that?

I got Poser to make some suuuuhweet a$$ 3D art....but its a bit pointless with only one model.

Renderosity has a ton of freebies. Also go to daz3d.com and grab all their free characters... mike/vicki 1 thru 4 and all other freebies they have.

when unzipping free content if it has a unzip trail that's like runtime/libraries.... then just unzip it in smith micro/poser 7 and should go okay ( if the content creator set up the extension right ).

If it's a DAZ installer... point it to Poser7 as well.

Heromorph's store has a ton of freebies. Animotions.com has a bunch of superhero freebies too.

My computer crashed and burned which is why I haven't posted anything new in a few weeks. I originally used Adobe Image Ready and photoshop. Now that I have a new computer I have Adobe Illustrator and CS3. I was told with CS3 I could have the capability to learn how to do poser art. Only thing is... I don't know which poser program would work for the CS3. Can anyone give me any suggestions? Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I don't know where you heard that Photoshop will teach you Poser. Yes, you can do some 3D in photoshop, but nothing that you can do in Poser. You will have to create your image in Poser and then open it in Photoshop for post production.
Therefore, any poser program will work for you to create poser art.

m'k new problem. Had to update Poser and install a service pack. Now, whenever I fire it up it wants to lock up on me. I know damned well my computer has the capability to handle the program, I'm virus free, and have more physical memory and ram than I know what to do with. any ideas why this is happening?

If it's Vista... it may be Vista's security shutting down any program that tries to run new processes. When you render in Poser 5-8, it's actually opening up Firefly to start its render process and Windows thinks it's a whole new program trying to start up.

Anti-virus software also thinks this and will either stop Firefly from the start or kill the end render output.

Sorry so late - this help?
