Re: Jonk'-Ar-Tuhr I dunno... I have been pondering the name, the only thing I can come up with is it seems to be a play on "John Carter", and since your Green Lantern has 4 arms, he could be an homage to Tharks, like Tars Tarkas.
And 1912 would be the year that Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote "A Princess of Mars".
I could be wrong....
