Another Lightwave render using an imported V3.  I'm still working out the kinks with Lightwave.  It's a much more powerful (and expensive) program than Poser, but if you're used to Poser there's a HUGE learning curve.  For instance, the Powergirl costume texture is actually half petercotton and half me.  In lightwave blending unimesh skin mats with costume textures using trans maps doesn't exactly work, or if it does I haven't figured out how, so I had to use pete's powergirl trans map as a template.  It took a few hours in Photoshop to get it just right.

gloves and boots from Predatron's Superhero Complete package.

Earth model over at www.foundation3d.com

And I still haven't figured out how to put a damned cape on this girl.  I'll probably rework this entire image and post the update.

I appreciate and thank you for your kind words. I'm still, personally, just not very happy with this image. Just now, glancing at it, I spotted about six things that I should have fixed before posting. I think I'm going to stick with Poser for still images and use Lightwave mainly for animation until I've figured out how to properly utilize the new program. It's my goal with Lightwave to eventually, in a year or two, adapt the first three issues of Spider-Man 2099 into a CGI animated movie. Judging by the render times on my test animations, though, I'm going to need a much more powerful computer, or possibly several computers working together, in order to do it. I've got a shot of the Enterprise entering orbit around a planet rendering right now. It's a 10 second clip and it's been rendering for 21 hours.

Even without the cape it looks good to me. It looks like you are getting this new program down.
