Much better toned down, but still too colorful for me, I know that's the point here, so it's appropriate for the image...
but I just have a difficult time with a non-goth Raven.

Agreed. I do think it's a really cool and unique effect but it is overpowering the image a bit. It's still Well done.

have to agree with DW here. The FX are a bit distracting not to mention I'm not exactly understanding what it's supposed to be. Is it supposed to represent a sound effect or a vertigo effect?

I like the idea, but I think the Special Effects may be a little too much for the image. Because her dress is plain and white on her torso, the effects feel like they force the eye to the center of the image, not wanting a person's eyes to explore the rest of the image in it's entirety.
