Free Spirit created by Mark Gruenwald and Dave Hoover first appeared in Captain America vol. 1 #431 September 1994.  Cathy Webster is subjected to "mutagenic radiation" by a criminal scientist named Superia. The radiation enhances her body to peak human conditioning similar to Captain America. Free Spirit  has a high level of martial ability and  acrobatic skill due to from training sessions with Captain America

She has not appeared much in the last decade. She appeared during the Marvel civil war.
