The Drop Shadow is to far from the character to be "laying on the bed"

I dunno. I think you might need to either upgrade your monitor or get your eyes checked. but then again maybe its me but i don't see any other shadow and the one i do see is not connected to her lower body which of course gives the impression that there is space between her and the bed.

All I did was replace the image. Vash submitted a new image and requested the old one to be deleted. I simply commented on the new image submitted.

 Re: leathers pinup
First off THANK YOU for finally having a character looking at the camera. That alone adds volumes to this image. Good removal of poke through. Now... Is the outfit a form fitting piece that is supposed to show her rear? If so then there is excessive clothing around her thigh. 2. Is she supposed to be hovering over the bed? Why was there a need to use post work drop shadows? Is there a problem that prevents you from setting the shadows on the lights you use in your renders, or are lights being used at all?

I think if you experiment with the lighting in the program, you will come to like it and it will help you in the long run.

It does not even have to be a massive work of lights. Start with a simple Spotlight and go into the parameters setting of the light and play around with the intensity color and shadows.

oops, Star got here before me! Was gonna warn you, Vash... you shouldn't be telling Star and DW "there's nothing you can do about poke thru's!" It's not luck that it doesn't happen to them! There's a number of ways around it. Just ask, plenty of folks here willing to school ya. BTW, pokies aside, I like this.

welllll sorry but pokethrus can be helped even without morphdials. you can always make that part of the body invisible especially when using long gloves or sleeves...then again you can always smooth it out in postwork with the smudge tool or clone stamp. Casting shadows is always an easy matter but you must always make sure that you have the "cast shadows" feature checked when applying your lights or you can add a shadow in postwork as well. as far as the 'looking away' thing I understand its a good concept for certain images that may have an underlying story or mood..but to me when you do this your characters seem to have a blank almost robotic look about them that makes them seem less than human, besides, this image embodies one thing and one thing only...SEX! and i have yet to see a sexy pinup model not look at the camera and wantingly invite the viewer to lust over her. I don't mean to sound like i'm bashing your work, I just think it could be so much better with a few small tweaks!

yeah the poke thru is bad..but even more so she should be casting a shadow on the bed..I didnt even know she was lying down until i saw the pillows...and i still have an issue with your unwillingness to have your models look at the camera.

This would be nice if it were not for all the poke through.
