File this under "Why I like the merged galleries better" dept: This way I don't have to think to hard about where to place a bastard child of 2D and 3D like this one! Anyway, background's pure 3D built in Bryce and the characters are first drawn in 2D then converted to 3D in Bryce and Daz. A tribute to Will Eisner... he was the man! and Spirit was one of the best comics ever.
Thanks Danny. Yeah, Spirit movie was really, really awful!! In Bryce you use terrain editor to build up that 3rd dimension, in Daz, you use displacement mapping.
Don't really know who The Spirit the times I tried to watch the movie, the movie always ended up watching me, that said I like this pic. I want to know one thing doe, how do transform a 2d pic to 3d with daz or bryce?
Thanks Miss Vee and CO! I was definitely trying to capture "the spirit" of Eisner's style and the way the text was used here was just the sort of trick he used to love to use.
Looks like you captured the spirit of The Spirit. Again, demonstrating your masterfulness with perspective, the type really carries your eye into the scene. Nice job on the dame, too!
