I used to watch this show on tv all the time. Although admittedly...I just wanted to see Zev nude...it was the sole reason for watching this thing.

Eva Habermann played the original Zev, and the delectable Xenia Seeburg played Xev, her replacement 3 episodes into season 2.

And I wasn't singling out Brian Downey's acting as the horrible one, it's the cast as a whole. I don't blame them, though. They are all probably fine actors, but if you research their respective filmographies, you'll find that many of them were stage actors before LEXX and still are to this day. Acting on stage in a play is much different than acting in front of a camera; much like voice acting for a cartoon as opposed to live action. On stage, exaggerated performances are necessary whereas in front of a camera it is preferable to turn in a more subtle performance. I think what happened here was a bunch of stage actors gave stage performances in front of a camera, which, at times, makes it seem a little over the top. I'm not complaining, though, because I really think that worked for the show. I probably should've clarified what I meant when I originally posted that comment. lol

Great tribute to a great show! But... you question Stanley's acting?! What was the name of the German actress (Platinum hair)

I started watching this show during season 2 when it was first on the Sci-Fi Channel. You're lucky. Back then this wasn't even on DVD yet, so in order to see the original mini-series I had to get VHS tapes from some Canadian guy on Ebay. I just started rewatching the series myself, on Netflix. I'm about 4 episodes away from the end of Season 2, and I had forgotten how much I loved this show.

It's got its flaws; the acting is atrocious, and I've seen better special effects in student films. However, it does have its own unique charm. You identify with the characters and not a single person in the so-called "Light Universe" is a decent person, which makes you wonder just how bad things are in the Dark Zone, lol.

All in all, it's one of the greatest TV shows I've ever seen, despite its flaws. Glad someone on here recognized this. I was afraid this image would be glossed over due to lack of recognition.
