Re: Jade on the Job Good job. I love the romulan birds of pray. The overall manip is great but i think that there should be some stars, i don't see any. and the planets seem to be lighted strangly. for help with planets check this out click hereand help with star fields click heredont get me wrong i think this manip rock's. 8.5/10 from me  alway round up. |

Re: Jade on the Job Thanks for the comments Optical  1 Stars!? I thought I dropped that layer all together! I think I'm having moniter brightness issues, cause I can't even see stars. Gotta check it on the laptop. As for the hard edge on the planets, I wasn't sure what was more "realistic. In space theres nothing to diffuse light so I couldn't decide if things would be "ultra sharp" or "light washed". 2 Yeah That's a good idea. At the time I was thinking more of a "breaking the 4th wall" and looking out at the audience, but that may have been better. Force beams hitting force bubble with a riple effect on it. Hmmmmmm. Ok, now that that's over, nice pic! Great costume, excellent work with the background and the force beams/bubbles.
I only have 2 suggestions:
1. The stars in the background are kinda washed out, and the planet in the foreground (mars?) could use a little bit of a glow or soft edge, it's too much of a harsh line for a planet, IMHO.
2. She's looking back behind her, instead of at the ship in the force bubble. She should have a reason to be looking back there, like a couple of energy beams coming from off panel bouncing off her shields.
