Re: A Bit of Color (Aimee Sweet as Poison Ivy) Thanks again for the compliments. This is definitely the animated Poison Ivy. As for the eyebrows, yeah, I'm not too happy with them either. The problem was that this was a black and white picture originally (i.e. I didn't desaturate it), so I couldn't adjust the hue/saturation and/or brightness/contrast like I'm used to doing, and using a colored multiply layer on top of them made them look muddier than they do now in my opinion. I also tried adding my own hair, but it didn't come out looking like eyebrows to me *at all*. Poison Ivy looked like she had caterpillers on her face. If anyone has any other tips, or I misunderstood what you meant, Bio, please let me know.

Re: A Bit of Color (Aimee Sweet as Poison Ivy) This is a pretty striking image for a second post. I love the dramatic use of color on black and white, it works really well. My only critique is on the eyebrows. The way you colored them they look somewhat like paint rather than hair. Maybe try a colorizing layer over the original or something like that in the future. Still, this is a very powerful image.

Re: A Bit of Color (Aimee Sweet as Poison Ivy) So I'm guessing that this is the cartoon costume and persona ~~ Love the green lipstick & nailpolish

Re: A Bit of Color (Aimee Sweet as Poison Ivy) Thanks for the compliments. I think this one is better for two reasons.
1. I read the tutorials here. I've used Photoshop a decent amount, but not for this kind of work, so the tips really help, and thanks to the various authors of those tuts.
2. With the Spider-Girl picture, it was kinda like, "Hey, that looks like fun, I wanna do it!" With this picture, I actually had some focus, a character actually seemed to fit the picture, I wasn't like a kid hopped up on sugar with a new toy.
And thanks, Winterhawk, for the wrinkle tips.

Re: A Bit of Color (Aimee Sweet as Poison Ivy) Really nice picture. Big Improvement. For the wrinkles, use the blur tool on the ends a little more, also on the ends use the smudge tool on a lower setting and push some color into the wrinkle so that it blends into the costume more.

Re: A Bit of Color (Aimee Sweet as Poison Ivy) Yeah, I hear what you're sayin': Does Ivy have normal skin, or green skin? Does Wonder Woman fly, or does she not fly?
This is a big improvement, BTW. What happened between your first Manip and this?

Re: A Bit of Color (Aimee Sweet as Poison Ivy) Glad you like. I think of pretty much all Batman villains through the animated series now, so Poison Ivy has pale skin, Mark Hammil sounds just like the Joker, and the Penguin only kinda sucks.

Re: A Bit of Color (Aimee Sweet as Poison Ivy) Good job, I really like the hair! But why the pale skin?
