the inspiration for this was the "torch on patrol pic" and seeing the image of a swimmer diving off.
it allowed me to try some different techniques too.
also the background pic was from the 9/11 tribute.
i hope i haven't upset anyone, but it was a lovely image and appropriate i felt for the FF.

Whoa that is intense....especially the heat effects...if you look at the lights in the background they are distorted.....very nice work indeed......

Great job! You've done one of the best fire effects I've seen.

Damn showoff. Seriously though, I'm glad I could inspire someone to do a picture of this quality. You also showed me some things I could have done better with my pic(it's like a free lesson!). But to answer Mr. Hawk's question, I tried a few different google image searches(diving, divers, swan dive, etc...), but ended up having more success with a web page search. Still, finding a guy in just the right pose was the hardest part about my pic.

Batmic, this is most excellent! Great flames, great shockwave!

And as someone who lives near NYC, nice "Tribute In Light".

I thought Kamehameha's was good, but this one is off the hook. Great job. The special effects are fantastic.
Where are you guys find pictures of people diving of this quality. A link would be great. I have searched for poses like this a never found anything that was very good.
