Re: CADAVER : Soul searching at home. More storyline: The reason Cadaver only has skin on his face: During the genos project, an unexpected side effect was that the skin on most of Cadaver's body began to deteriorate and liquify. The project was temporarily halted. All that remained of his skin were portions on his upper chest, areas on his neck and on his forehead to chin. They thus, decided to remove his skin. However, as they were about to remove Cadaver's face, the head of the project, Vernon Brexton (looking into the opened eyes of Cadaver)-- Yes, Cadaver was awake during this ordeal, tho strapped down and muzzled -- Vernon made the statement: "Let the man have his dignity. It may be the only thing left of his humanity that we haven't destroyed." A single tear then emerged from Cadavers eye. The project then resumed. Thus, Cadaver was left with only his facial skin.

Re: CADAVER : Soul searching at home. Thanks for the compliments. About the blood, I agree. It doesnt fit with his storyline. But it just seemed to give it more visual appeal to me. But then again, who knows -- maybe all those regenerating processes are actually reverting him back to normal????? ........ NAHH! That cant be it. Otherwise, he wouldn't be Cadaver, now would he? And for some reason, we love to see our heroes suffer like the rest of us. That's the paradox: We create "Super" men but then want them to be just as fragile in many ways like ourselves.

Re: CADAVER : Soul searching at home. Is he a preacher? Because... wait for it... here it comes... He sure is holy! Oh man... I kill myself. I like this manip. Before I read the description I couldn't figure out if he was wearing a body suit... or if they just left his face attached... now I know. Nice job! OH... If he is Dead... and none of his organs work... why is there blood dripping from his head wound? Hhhmmmmmmmmm? No heart to pump blood... no drip.

Re: CADAVER : Soul searching at home. thnx, I figured that the best heroes have some deep trial that they have to deal with usually due to their wonderful abilities. Cadaver has to deal with depression due to his altered genetics. Obviously, he cannot procreate. But then, what woman would want to be with a skinless dude? So tho he's part of a team, he still has his moments when he wishes he could actually hurt like everyone else. We often take things like pain for granted. I mean, think about it: What paralyzed person wouldnt be willing to suffer intense pain, just to be able to be able to feel and move around? Thus, cadaver at times, inflicts injuries to himself when he really gets down, just wishing that he could feel pain like "normal" people. and tho he cannot feel intense pain, he is always the first into battle mainly in hopes that he will actually feel the pain without having to go thru the regenerating process. Call it a deathwish for the man who cannot die.

Re: CADAVER : Soul searching at home. This is an Awesome manip. I like the all skinless thing you did. And his story seems like a good one. I like when he goes to regenerate and he feels everything, like if he is human again.

Re: CADAVER : Soul searching at home. thanks. Just keep in mind that he's genetically altered. not a zombie or some creepy thing like that. he wasnt someone who had died and then was reanimated. He was selected for a top secret experimental government supersoldier program. tho he didnt know initially that he would turn out like this. Thats so like so many young men and women who were disalusioned into joining the military only to find out that what you get isnt always what you were expecting and know they've got to live ( or in Cadaver's case, die) for their choice.

Re: CADAVER : Soul searching at home. This guy has an interesting story but I find it a little creepy.
I like the manip itself, I think you did a nice job.
