Re: Supegirl - Laura Vandervoort Very nice pattern on the suit. How'd you displace the pattern to so perfectly follow the shape of her breasts? phenominal job.

Re: Supegirl - Laura Vandervoort Nice work! The one thing that's bugging me isn't the artwork, it's her left eye, it just doesn't seem level with the other! As long as she has 20/20 vision

Re: Supegirl - Laura Vandervoort Love the costume... nicely done! Her skin and hair are a bit subdued. Overall... great, and the first Laura V enhancement I've seen. Congrats on that.
Cosmic coincidences:
Laura's birthday (27Sep) is the same as Kara Zor-El, per the comics history links.
Laura was also born in the year when the last live action Supergirl graced the screen: Helen Slater in Supergirl, 1984.
Maybe she was born for his role...

Re: Supegirl - Laura Vandervoort Quote: Wouldn't she simply be Kara-El? It sounds silly to call her Kara Zor-El... I wondered about that myself...and I think maybe it's something about the kryptonion society, diferent rules for women names or something...

Re: Supegirl - Laura Vandervoort Quote: By the way I always wondered... I always assumed that "El" is kind of like a last name. Zor-El is her father. Kal-El is her cousin, Jor-El would be her uncle. Wouldn't she simply be Kara-El? It sounds silly to call her Kara Zor-El... It would be like calling Chelsea Clinton "Chelsea Bill Clinton". And I know you didn't come up with this, I just got to thinking about it when I saw your image. It's only really silly in Western culture. In other countries, such as some in Africa or even in some Spanish-speaking countries, a woman's surname is not a family name, but her father's name. So a husband and wife can have completely different names, and the children yet another. It's obvious in Kryptonian culture the males take only the family name (House of El for example) where the women take the father's full name as a surname.

Re: Supegirl - Laura Vandervoort I'm glad to see this, your manip of Laura is well done! I'm looking forward to seeing her on Smallville. I understand that she will be able to fly, but for some idiotic reason I hear Clark will still be earthbound.
