On July 8th, we received the shocking and tragic news that Dark Wanderer (Jason Sizemore) had passed away. Most members are well aware of his friendly, helpful and generous nature yet he was also driving force behind the scenes here as well in his role as a moderator, playing an essential part behind the scenes for many years and was greatly responsible for the success he brought to Artist Challenges, Secret Santa and other special events. Additionally, he was a terrific artist as well so rather than our usual Top Images of the Week, we will be celebrating some of the excellent art he created. Farewell, Dark Wanderer. You will be sorely missed and never forgotten at Heromorph. Rest in Peace.

Finally... Oni Kataki's long awaited triumphant return! Awesome! Great to see him back and a terrific job of bringing him to life in 3D! Interesting backstory and powers.Love that freaky demon arm and supercool rendered FX on the sword! Lighting looks really good too. Excellent!

His Parents, his wife to be,Murdered. A'linth Liander lost his arm to the man that took everything from him.His Brother. Left for dead with a seething hatred and need for vengeance, his need for revenge caught the attention of a demon. In exchange for his servitude, the demon grafted it's own arm in place of the one A'linth Liander had missing.

The arm bestowed him the powers of:
Regeneration
Dark Energy Blade conjuration
Dark Energy Whip conjuration
Dark Energy projectile orb blast
Shadow teleportation
Illusionnary image creation
Control of shadows

The deal was simple. Be granted the powers, be returned back to kill his brother. Instead, the demon sent him back hundreds of years later. Oni Kataki is a self given name meaning Demon of Vengeance. Kataki swore to hunt down the demon that betrayed him. Over the years he tried to free himself of the servitude,even going as far as severing the limb but to no good. By this time the blood from the arm had corrupted his own, causing the arm to regenerate.
