As I'd mentioned in the forum, I love this challenge but I didn't have an idea for it. I'm not sure what the ruling is here but hopefully what I did isn't a disqualifier. I recently ran across an old low rez pencil drawing pic that I'd done nearly a decade ago but hadn't posted here which seemed to fit the challenge. So I added a second character and background and and inked it. So here's Caveman Wildcat (and friend).
Thanks DD and Obsidian! I'm not entirely sure how you mean "assisted" but I did use a photoshop filter to create the single pixel width thin squiggly line textures on the rocks, trees and ground. The rest is hand drawn on a digital tablet.
Well, that definitely puts the "wild" in "Wildcat"!
Sorry, that's the best I've got. Nice concept, well executed. Wildcat's a perfect choice for this setting (you can just imagine that cowl being made from an actual sabertooth cat skull, can't you?), and I think you've done a great job with him. Cool background too.
Thanks. I'm considering it. I have started taking a few steps in that direction but it's pretty labor intensive and I'm a little concerned about burying detail rather than better defining it. So that would be a definite maybe.
