I actually put some thought into that, great question!
They are oranges. I wanted to make sure it stayed PG rated, plus it fit with "juicy" the lyrics,
and if you watch the video, the whole thing looks a bit fruity, plus I figured oranges always have appeal for the viewers...get it..."A Peel"
Ooooh, that was a bad pun even for me....
