Towel Day - 25 May

A towel, as it says in The Hichhikers Guide To The Galaxy, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitch hiker can have. Partly it has great practical value - you can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Krypton; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Oa, inhaling the heady sea vapours; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kalanor; use it to sail a mini raft down the slow heavy river Otago; wet it for use in hand-to-hand-combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or to avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of New Genesis (a mindboggingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can't see it, it can't see you - daft as a bush, but very ravenous); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, or to cover yourself when that freaky Power Boy steals your top and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough

I was going to draw her hands but I suck at them and all attempts looked like crap, also was going to put a bit of lace on her bra but turned out I can't do that either And I know it looks like a sketch but the scanner picked up a lot a lines that where rubbed out. I think I may have went a little overboard with her hair

Wow Alex this is really good. Hands notwithstanding you did a great job, and you can never go too far with hair. I really like the way you draw hair.

She kinda reminds me of the teen Lady Heromorph you did a while back. This is one of my favorites of your work.

I would rate it a "42" but ten is as high as the Heromorph-Scale-O-Meter goes.

I think this is pretty good (but I can't draw, I have trouble drawing stick figures).

Anyway I like this.

I really like the fact your lines have become darker. It shows more confidence and makes it easier to see. Also, because this is unfinished it would've probly been a great starter for a sketch thread of your own.

But I do have a tip. DW told me this once because I'm notorious for small hands. He said that from the bottom of your hand to the tip of your middle finger is the same size as from your chin to your eyebrows. Where the fingers stop are about nose level. As to details, I'd suggest studying your favorite artist. Pick up some of his comics or whatever and study the way he draws hands.
