Re: Shulkie Goes Splash Updated: Made some corrections and added some details. Most notably around the legs and the supporting arm. Does anybody else have problems with distortion of art/drawings when scanning?

Re: Shulkie Goes Splash Beautiful! I love the little details you add to these images that maybe most of us would neglect. Like in the Powergirl with the refraction of the image by the water. In this one it's the subtle bend on the diving board. It's easy to accept flaws in an image like this, because it's so delightful. I am not sure exactly why this is for me, but I'll take it

Re: Shulkie Goes Splash Commenting on better art. O.K.... Shade the right thigh below/behind the left thigh; the legs are perfectly proportioned and not too long, but for a workout femme - ankles a little thin; put a little more detail on the highheels -- they always draw attention (why else would we wear them?); thin high waist looks good; metallic look on bra is great; nice shading on the abs/tummy; cheekbones and eyes are outstanding.

Re: Shulkie Goes Splash A fine addition to the series. To me, Shulkie looks just fine (very impressive that you did this without bodily references) and the coloring looks great too. Excellent job.

Re: Shulkie Goes Splash Thayne: To tell you the truth, I had no idea this looked anything 1950's. I thought my "no style" style was beginning to look quite contemporary. But If it does, perhaps it is the pose that makes it look more "classic", which I just made up. I only had a reference for the face, but no real references for the body. I am always lamenting that I have no models to use, and the giveaway is that the legs on Shulks are unnaturally way too long. Funny, because it doesn't look that way so much in the original art, but the ankles closed up after coloring.
I also notice some distortion after scanning, and some changes during coloring. In this case I had to reduce the head, which to me looked too large after coloring. Coloring ads weight which is not there in simple b&w.
I used brush and ink, and no pen except for some straight lines, and even then I use a brush and a straight edge. Sure wish I had a tablet though, which would cut way down on the coloring time.
Was: Look for more fun to come. This is not terribly important--and I don't know if it's that apparent to the viewer. But the hose is there filling the tank back up after Shulks knocked all the water out the first time she went down. I wanted to have something in the background to demonstrate this but I haven't thought of it yet.

Re: Shulkie Goes Splash Nice.
Logistical comment - first time she goes in, the spiked heels poke a hole in the bottom of the tank, water drains out, end of fun...

Re: Shulkie Goes Splash Two things.
1. How are you able to make it look like Vintage 1950's art?
and
2. Who'd you use as a model reference for her?
