Nah, not a typo, they are defensores 'cuz they're such pain-in-the-butts!
But on a serious note, in between realism and comic cartoons, there is a broad field half-and-halfs that don't look their best for the cross. It takes quite a bit of practice to find the few that actually do look better. The key, I think, is to keep a consistant amount of realism throughout the picture.
I do like the difficult viewpoint you choose. Eye close-ups can be difficult, yet quite rewarding!

That's a real shape lookin cover but is it suppose to say "Defensores"?
