Done as the second Challenge in dperceful's Challenge of the Artists tournament. For this challenge, I opted to draw something, in order to get me more into drawing stuff rather than manipping. I mean, manipping is uber cool and fun to do, but my first love is and will always be drawing. This picture, while done with the intent of using it for this Challenge, also doubled as my 1-point perspective project in my perspective foundations class at the Academy of Art. Sweeeet.

As for the technicals, I started on 11x17 paper, and hand-drew the entire image myself, using rulers to get the perspective right (the vanishing point is near Super Skrull, in the middle area). I wanted a bunch of different scales to show how there's depth, so Johnny, Sue and Ben made up the big areas of interest in my foreground, the Skrull and Reed made up my middleground, and then the buildings mmade up the background. After drawing the picture, I scanned it into Photoshop Elements and proceeded to color, using a bunch of different layer styles and effects, while using the trusty D&B to keep my shadows and highlights in check. All in all, about 5 hours drawing, 4 hours for color, about 10 hours total including scanning, touch-ups, etc.
