Re: Grace Lee Whitney Tribute Some of the greatest and most beautiful women shared roles on Star Trek and Batman in the mid sixties.
Yvonne Craig, more famous for Batgirl than her green skinned Trek character Marta, was one.
But far and away the most gracious, kind and beautiful was Ms. Whitney, who was known not only to have a large fan following, but who took time to actually meet and even call her fans personally on the phone just to chat, and even appear in many of their fan made films. Her Janice Rand character was far better known than her side-kick role to King Tut as Neila, and was admitted by Gene Roddenberry to be one of the biggest mistakes ever made when the character's role ended.
I don't often comment on tributes, as I usually pay homage with my own personal moments of silence... But I feel more people should know the kind of person she was, for those that didn't get to know when she was still with us.
May the world be filled with more like her...
Thank you for another great tribute, Dragondack!
