A little one-on-one during the Battle of Endor.

I started sketching the Ewok for the hell of it this afternoon, while my nephew was over.  He asked me why he was jumping, so I had to put the Stormtrooper in.  Then my nephew wanted me to draw the forest, too.

I was never a fan of the Ewoks until I met Jar Jar Binks. In comparison, the Ewoks seem pretty f--king cool.

But I agree, the fact that they played such a huge role in the fall of the Empire was ridiculous. I heard a story once that Lucas originally wrote it as Wookiees, but thought they'd sell more toy tie-ins with little teddy bear guys.

Great image, although I'd like to see the next picture in the series, where the stormtrooper whirls around and blasts the little furball back into the stone age.

Oh, that's right, the Ewoks are already in the stone age.

IMHO, Lucas' greatest hubris was the notion that a band of furry teddy bears armed with sticks and rocks could defeat one of the most fearsome fighting forces in the galaxy.

Now, wookies, I can definitely see being a worthy adversary. That would have been a battle to see! (Don't even get me started on the Wookies vs Droids battle in Episode III.)

Sorry, I let my Lucas fury get the better of me. Need to take my meds and calm down a bit...

If you or your nephew are fans of the Ewoks, my apologies!

This is a great picture! Thanks!
