boots and cape by predatron's v3 superhero complete package.  I honestly can't remember where I got the texture for the suit, though.

Re: The Last Son of Krypton
The reason, i think, that Superman is so hard to pull off is that he is the absolute most iconic character in comics history. Sure Batman, Spidey, and the X-Men are popular, but Supes started it all. The side effect of the character being engrained in the world's collective subconscious is that we all have a specific image in our minds of who Superman is and what he's supposed to be. For some it's George Reeves, to some it's Christopher Reeve. And yet others will go back to the Fleisher cartoons. One thing remains constant in all the different depictions of Superman, though, and this is what an image has to capture. He has to appear powerful, he has to be gracefully masculine in a way that depicts the ideal human physique, and last, but most important, through lighting, pose, and many other subtle details an image of Superman must inspire others to reach beyond our limitations as human beings and reach for something greater. That's what I tried to capture with this image, and though it's far from perfect, I think it's this nuance that seperates it from my World's Finest image and makes it work where the other didn't quite do it.

Re: The Last Son of Krypton
Nice job on this.

Why does Superman seem to be such a hard character to do?
