My old journal is lost, with my old life. It's been a week and a half now, since I arrived in the world the natives call ?rth. I've not had the time, or the motivation to record what has happened in that time, until now.

DAY 1

I awoke to the smell of brine, and the crashing of waves. Sand was in my face, and I was sun-burned from lying on a deserted beach. A crab crawling on me woke me up, and I sat up, and retched the seawater I'd swallowed. I had a fever, and I was dizzy as well.

I looked around, and saw the landscape in front of me was lush and green, full of palm trees and other exotic plants. It was warm, though I was cold from the wind blasting my wet body that was covered in the remains of my bridesmaid's dress.

There was no sign of the ship, and no sign of wreckage. The sky was overcast, the remnants of a storm still blowing in from the ocean and making the trees sway wildly about. Barefoot, I made my way into shore, looking for higher ground.

The ground was soft, at least, for a long distance, mostly sand and tiny bits of shells. Even the trails up the sides of the nearby cliffs were covered in sand, which I was thankful for. I reached the top, and saw that this was not just an island I stood upon, unless it was immense. Farther inland, were mountains, and deep forest. Out to sea, there was no sign of any wreckage or other survivors at all. The shore was remarkably pristine in it's deep blue and clear waters.

I can't recall how long I sat there at the top of the cliffs, alone, looking out to the life that was behind me. I had just lost everything, and I was in shock. But eventually... maybe even after a night's sleep there, I can't recall... I went inland....

I'll write more later....

A re-cap of Solani's arrival on ?rth, in her own words. All done in DAZ Studio. A new comic is coming soon! :)

 Re: "Journal of the Shadow-Cat"
Wow, this is an interesting and kind of eerie picture. I like it, I think it is great and I love the journal entry.
