I set the Pfaff for the stitch and the material (e.g., taffeta, a typical superheroine costume material); then I stitch a swatch of material about 8" x 10"; then I iron it flat and put it on a flatbed scanner and scan it; then I Frank the scan into the pic I'm working on (adjusting for file size, colour, contrast, etc.).
