Re: Spiderwoman in trouble Sweet!!! I didn't read everyone's comments so when I repeat what they said just ignore it. Actually... I am the most important person to post on this image. Man, I am on fire... I am here all week!!! The one thing I would like to see is the goggles be white. I don't like the green on her. (I tried to do the same thing with those goggles). If you are good in the material room, I would change the goggles to white... that would keep her within her character. Anyway, regardless of my one nitpick, I really like this. But I am a sucker for Jessica Drake. Wait, she is a porn star... I am a sucker for Jessica Drew.

Re: Spiderwoman in trouble A very cool revision of the image on which this is based. Good job. I think you fall well within your artistic license with all of the changes made but when you do a good job on a re-creation, drawing comparisons to the original is probably inevitable

Re: Spiderwoman in trouble Great tips. As with such a list, a few I agree might be more true to form especially the commments on the goggles, though I am not sure on 100% opacity...windows to the soul and all that.
But I'm sticking with the 'cowboy boots'.
I think it's an 'update' to wear something other than foot socks. Of course, it makes it a bit harder for her to cling to walls and such but these have a special permeamble sole thall allows her to use her wall crawling abilities... (that's my story and I'm sticking to it.)
The boots are from DAZ called 'Metal Stiletto' (the heel is actually 'buried' into the building, but from this angle you can't tell). I may work on the navel a bit. I tried to do so but couldn't get it to look right. Same with the glider wings. I have problems with the those details working 'free hand' in PSP/PS. (I envy those who can do a good job at manipulating clothing effects. I may work on that skill set... but right now I am not pleased with the results I get.)
It's not some much that I am 'true to the original' as much as it was 'plagerizing' the concept.
Again, thanks for the comments and input. I do appreciate you taking the time to post them.
Robert

Re: Spiderwoman in trouble this is cool, great lights and poses. if you wanna tweak it then lose the cowboy boots [SW doesn't wear boots, she has foot socks just like Spidey] smooth out her navel and the goggles work but if you want to be true to the character and the cover then change the material settings of the goggles [change the green lens to white and raise the opacity to 100%] and if possible ..think about adding her glider wings in post.

Re: Spiderwoman in trouble I know what you mean, hisstoryman. The only thing constant in the universe is change. I liked the way the goggles look, too. Wasn't sure what to expect. It's a great prop that I may use in other places too. (Thanks to TylerMcdowell WinterHawk for this freebie prop!) I really haven't kept up with the series so I have no idea what the look is today. But when I ran across the texture I just thought it would be fun to work with it. And since it was the 'original' costume, I decide a reinterpretation of the first cover was appropriate. Thanks for the comment. (We'll have to see what Lady HM things of it... ) Robert

Thanks fo the tip, ebmwbafpm. Thanks, embwbafpm. Not sure what I was trying to do with the eyes (Anger, concentration, I thought). So I went back and opened them up.
Added the goggles and tweaked the lights a bit more too.
I wasn't sure how the goggles would work, but I think they look good. (Seems like the readme file of the texture mentions the goggles, don't remember.)
Other comments?
Robert

Re: Spiderwoman in trouble I like the goggles look, but that's just my opinion. With all the changes that a superhero undergoes these days is there a "right" costume??? Heck Spiderwoman is now a freaking Skrull!!!!!

Re: no title Look closely at the wikipedia image - the eyes are white, and part of the cloth (not goggles sticking up. Like Spiderman's, if that helps.

Re: no title Hmm.. what would you suggest? (I actually thought about updating the look with the goggle set from HM.)
Appreciate any suggestions on how to improve the work.

Re: no title Thanks, hisstory. But I can't lay claim to the texture. It's one I found via renderosity.com. I thought it a decent texture though.
