Re: Golden Age Pin Up THIS IS AWESOME!!! You really nailed that pin-up nostalgia on this one! She looks terrific... beautiful, sexy and full of personality! The pose and set are are also dead on. Most impressive work!

Re: Golden Age Pin Up That is one massive grand slam!! Aside from the boots being wedges, I guess, rather than heels (were they big in the 40's???)
the costume seems pretty amazing. Very clever idea staging with a tryptych in the back.
I hope you totally rock on to another WW!!

Re: Golden Age Pin Up Thanks OCP, Krasch mentioned the skirt flow, too. And you're both right. Kinda stiff. And Khrys, I was hopin' to get your input. I consider you the definitive Wonder Woman source on this site, and am glad to have your notes. I had forgotten entirely about the white belt, excellent catch. As for the skirt, well, that was a tiny stray. I knew the "pin up" motif would have suffered if I went with the actual culottes that the 40's era Wonder Woman wore. But going into the 50's version would have meant sandals instead of the duck flared boots. But I think the best thing that you noticed was the nose. I tried hard to get a realistic version of the 40' face, and the detail that stood out most to me was an undersized nose in a lot of the work I saw. As for the figure, I can't take full credit. I applied a fair bit of MissVee's diet and exercise plan to get a more retro look, more voluptuous all around, less amazonian fitness, but still graceful. Probably why she noticed it, too. I appreciate all the comments I have received on this. Thanks to each of you for taking time to share your views. I do learn from them all.

Re: Golden Age Pin Up Canonical costume notes (if you're going for the actual costume and not your own interp. If not, ignore this section!): She never wore a skirt in the Golden Age. It was initially a pair of baggy, skirt like shorts. Also, the belt was white and single pointed like the tiara, while the bracelets were black, with a silver band at each wrist.
That said, this is a pretty good GA WW. The hair is spot on, and the figure is curvy and fit without being overly bombastic. Facially, I find her nose just a touch too small, and her eyebrows a little too light, but the overall look is quite pretty. There's only two things that really bug me in this piece, and that's the tilt of her neck in the central piece, and the chunky heels on her boots, but this is still a great picture, regardless!

Re: Golden Age Pin Up I am really loving this! THe skirt might need more flow but that is but a small critique on an exceptional work.

Re: Golden Age Pin Up Wow, thanks everyone. Especially Biohaz_Daddy for suggesting the solo pic with Goldy here.
Chowy, thanks. I tried to give her subtle expressions appropriate for each particular poses purpose. Thanks for noticing that.
Khastagir, thanks for noticing the composition, too. It took me a few days longer than usual to come up with something eye catching for reasons more than the uplifted skirt.
Shump1, yep, I make it a point to try to only do fun images if I can...and what's more fun than a classic pin-up? Well, dating a pinup maybe...but that's another story.
MissVee, when I think classics, I think of your stuff. so much of your work, and co_04's, reminds me of the golden age, (well, silver actually, 'cuz I ain't THAT old...but anyway) who other than the immortal Marilyn could inspire the main pose of this piece?
Jinky, Wow...I earned a spot on your desktop... Thank you. Only fair, though, since I've been using some of your pics here as part of my screen saver for the last week.
Shocking_Rom, Wolverine1607, Krasch...3 10's. *choke* I feel like Mary Lou Retton...
Thanks again for all the nice comments.

Re: Golden Age Pin Up I'd love to see a little more flow to the skirt, it's sitting kinda flat, tilted but flat.
Otherwise, 10 all the way, especially the face and hair.

Re: Golden Age Pin Up Y'know, I wish Poser wasn't so limited in its faces -- they're never attractive enough -- but this is probably the most wonderful Poser piece I've seen. Delightful! It's gonna be my screen's wallpaper for the week. :) -- Jinky www.jinkycoronado.com

Re: Golden Age Pin Up I'm not a fan of Poser & 3d either, but you did a great job on the legs (and the composition). And hats off to Marilyn Monroe who made this classic cheesecake pose famous.
